Meet Amy, a Yoga guide who is known for her free hugs and her unique approach to teaching. Her mission is to combine traditional Yoga philosophy with modern-day movements, so her students can apply these teachings to their daily lives. Amy has been practicing Yoga since the early 2000s, but it wasn't until she experienced personal tragedies in 2013 that she fully embraced its teachings. She lost her younger brother to suicide and developed a chronic health condition, as well as severe anxiety and depression. Yoga played a significant role in helping her coexist with these challenges and find a new lease on life.
Amy is a fun-loving person who takes her Yoga teaching seriously. Her classes are light-hearted but heartfelt- you will find her sharing human moments in class. While she is qualified to teach in various 'styles' of Yoga, she specializes in Yin and Pranayama, which is a yogic breathing practice. Her Yin classes incorporate the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to help students establish a stronger connection with nature.
When she's not teaching, Amy enjoys running, hiking, reading, baking cookies, taking care of her plants, and spending quality time with her husband.
She founded Energy Seed Yoga to create a safe space where people can heal, grow, learn, and support each other.

I am affiliated with World Yoga Federation which is an Indian-based global organization that provides International Certification, recognition, registration, and an International Platform to Yoga Organizations, Yoga Federations, Yoga Institutes, Yoga Studios, and Yoga Teachers worldwide.
Throughout my academic journey, I've had the opportunity to explore various areas of interest. I pursued a degree in Sports & Exercise Science with an emphasis in Physical Education from the University of Northern Colorado. During my time there, I also obtained certifications in personal training and group fitness, which allowed me to work with student athletes and help them achieve their fitness goals.
Growing up, I had a passion for physical activity and was involved sports such as track & cross country, gymnastics, dance, and competitive cheerleading. This ignited my interest in the human body and its anatomy, which has always fascinated me. I'm particularly drawn to the mechanics behind our movements and what drives them.
I strongly believe in the importance of continuous learning and growth. There is always something new to learn and unlearn. I encourage everyone to embrace this mindset which is one way to practice Yoga off the mat.
