Amy is a Yoga guide, meditation teacher, and sound healing practitioner who is best known for her unique teaching approach that emphasizes human connection and free hugs. Her mission is to bridge Yoga philosophy and modern-day movements so that her students can learn to apply Yoga both on and off the mat. Amy started practicing Yoga in the early 2000s, but she only fully embraced its spiritual connection after experiencing life altering tragedies in 2015. She lost her younger brother to suicide and developed a chronic health condition, both left her with severe anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Yoga continues to play an essential role in helping Amy coexist with life's challenges. Her classes are light-hearted but heartfelt, she often shares personal experiences to help others feel less alone. Amy uses her gift of intuition to sense the emotions and needs of those in her classes.
She is passionate about teaching Yin, Pranayama and facilitating Sound Healing, and has pursued additional education in these areas. Through these practices, she has discovered that everything in the universe has an energetic vibration at its core. In her classes, she incorporates the elements and seasons of The 5 Elemental Theory of Chinese Medicine to help students see their connection to nature. Nature has a unique ability to heal the soul and provide clarity in times of confusion. She believes connecting with nature and our intuition, we can achieve a greater sense of peace and purpose in our lives.
Overall, Amy is dedicated to living a life that is in harmony with the elements and her inner self. Amy considers herself a lifelong student of Yoga. When not teaching, in no particular order, she can be found running, hiking, reading, advocating for women's rights & mental health awareness, baking cookies, and spending quality time with her husband.
She founded Energy Seed Yoga to create a safe space where people can heal, grow, learn, and support each other.

I am affiliated with World Yoga Federation which is an Indian-based global organization that provides International Certification, recognition, registration, and an International Platform to Yoga Organizations, Yoga Federations, Yoga Institutes, Yoga Studios, and Yoga Teachers worldwide.
Throughout my academic journey, I've had the opportunity to explore various areas of interest. I pursued a degree in Sports & Exercise Science with an emphasis in Physical Education from the University of Northern Colorado. During my time there, I obtained certifications in personal training and group fitness instruction.
Growing up, I had a passion for physical activity and was involved in sports such as track & cross country, gymnastics, dance, and competitive cheerleading. This ignited my interest in the human body and its anatomy. I'm particularly drawn to the mechanics behind our movements and what drives them.
I strongly believe in the importance of continuous learning and growth. There is always something new to learn and unlearn. I encourage everyone to embrace this mindset which is just one way to practice Yoga off the mat.
