Hi, I’m Amy!
I am a yoga teacher, meditation guide, and sound facilitator. I hold space for people to slow down, breathe easier, and just be. My offerings are a mix of movement, stillness, sound, and story. They’re built to meet you where you are, and to remind you that you don’t have to do this alone.
My teaching didn’t come from one single path. It came from many seasons of moving, studying, listening, and unlearning.
I grew up as an athlete, and movement has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. It taught me body awareness early on, not just how to push, but how to feel. I’ve worked as a personal trainer, group fitness instructor, PE teacher, and I’ve run sports camps. Those experiences shaped how I see bodies now. Every body moves differently. Every body adapts differently. Our bodies are far more resilient than we give them credit for.
I’ve always been curious about how the body works. After studying Sports & Exercise Science in college, I continued to chase certifications, adding tools along the way rather than subscribing to one specific method. That’s why my cues may sound different than what you’re used to. Options are part of my teaching, not because something needs fixing, but because exploration matters. I want you to feel supported, not corrected.
When I teach, I observe how you breathe. I watch your feet. I notice a clenched jaw. I’m paying attention to how the body responds to ease and effort, not trying to force anyone into a perfect shape. My goal is to create a space where you can listen and move in a way that feels honest to you. I believe in trust, awareness, and meeting yourself where you are.
My yoga toolbox is wide and still growing. The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don’t know. That keeps me curious, grounded, and grateful for the people who step into this space.
If you’re looking for perfection, I am not your teacher.
If you want a practice that meets you where you are instead of asking you to fit a mold, you’re in the right place.
💜
I started practicing yoga in the early 2000s, but it became something much deeper when I lost my younger brother to suicide and was navigating chronic health challenges. Everything felt heavy and uncertain. Yoga gave me something steady to come back to. It still does.
Now I specialize in Yin Yoga and Sound Healing. My work is rooted in presence and inspired by nature, using the Five Element Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine to guide students through seasonal shifts and inner transitions.
My style is slow and intentional. A little mystical & woo woo. Always authentic. Guaranteed laughter and mistakes🤪
Outside of teaching, I’m an advocate for women’s & LGBTQIA+ rights, and mental health awareness. I love running, hiking, reading, baking, and hanging out with my husband and our two rescue pups, Flour and Cheddar.
I created Energy Seed Yoga to be a place for healing, exploration, and community. A place where you can come back to your body, your breath, and your self.
I’m so glad you’re here. I truly believe it is not a coincidence.

I’m proud to be affiliated with the World Yoga Federation, a global platform based in India that connects yoga teachers, studios, and organizations worldwide with international certification and recognition.
