Meet Amy, a Yoga guide, meditation teacher, and sound practitioner who is known for her unique teaching approach and free hugs. Her mission is to combine traditional Yoga philosophy with modern-day movements, so her students can apply these teachings to their daily lives. Amy has been practicing Yoga since the early 2000s, but it wasn't until she experienced personal tragedies nearly a decade later that she fully embraced its teachings. She lost her younger brother to suicide, developed a chronic health condition, as well as severe anxiety and depression. Yoga played a significant role in helping her cope with these challenges and find a new lease on life.
Amy is a fun-loving person who takes her Yoga teaching seriously. Her classes are light-hearted but heartfelt- you will find her sharing human moments in class. While she is certified to teach various 'styles' of Yoga, she specializes in Yin Yoga and Pranayama, which is a yogic breath practice. Her Yin classes incorporate the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to help students establish a stronger connection with nature.
When she's not teaching, Amy enjoys running, hiking, reading, advocating for women's rights, baking cookies, continuing her Yoga education, tending her plants, and spending quality time with her husband.
She founded Energy Seed Yoga to create a safe space where people can heal, grow, learn, and support each other.

I am affiliated with World Yoga Federation which is an Indian-based global organization that provides International Certification, recognition, registration, and an International Platform to Yoga Organizations, Yoga Federations, Yoga Institutes, Yoga Studios, and Yoga Teachers worldwide.
Throughout my academic journey, I've had the opportunity to explore various areas of interest. I pursued a degree in Sports & Exercise Science with an emphasis in Physical Education from the University of Northern Colorado. During my time there, I obtained certifications in personal training and group fitness instruction, this opened a door for my future, which I didn't know at the time.
Growing up, I had a passion for physical activity and was involved in sports such as track & cross country, gymnastics, dance, and competitive cheerleading. This ignited my interest in the human body and its anatomy. I'm particularly drawn to the mechanics behind our movements and what drives them.
I strongly believe in the importance of continuous learning and growth. There is always something new to learn and unlearn. I encourage everyone to embrace this mindset which is just one way to practice Yoga off the mat.
