Amy is a Yoga guide, meditation teacher, and sound healing practitioner known for creating heartfelt, open spaces where everyone feels welcome—complete with the occasional free hug! With a focus on bridging Yoga’s rich philosophy with everyday life, Amy invites students to carry Yoga both on and off the mat.
After starting her Yoga journey in the early 2000s, Amy found deeper healing through Yoga in 2015 while navigating profound loss and personal health challenges. Losing her younger brother to suicide and managing a chronic condition ignited her commitment to practices that ease anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Today, Yoga remains a grounding force in Amy’s life, and her classes reflect this blend of light-hearted connection and depth, often woven with personal stories to remind others that they aren’t alone.
Amy loves teaching Yin, Pranayama, and Sound Healing, and has deepened her practice with advanced studies in each. Her classes flow with the rhythms of the natural world, using the 5 Element Theory of Chinese Medicine to reveal the healing power of nature. She believes that by tuning into nature and our intuition, we can find peace, purpose, and joy in life’s most challenging moments.
Outside of teaching, Amy is an advocate for women’s rights and mental health awareness, and she spends her free time hiking, baking cookies, running, reading, and enjoying time with her husband.
She founded Energy Seed Yoga as a sanctuary for healing, growth, and community, a place where all are encouraged to find balance and embrace their true selves.

I am affiliated with World Yoga Federation which is an Indian-based global organization that provides International Certification, recognition, registration, and an International Platform to Yoga Organizations, Yoga Federations, Yoga Institutes, Yoga Studios, and Yoga Teachers worldwide.
Throughout my academic journey, I've had the opportunity to explore various areas of interest. I pursued a degree in Sports & Exercise Science with an emphasis in Physical Education from the University of Northern Colorado. During my time there, I obtained certifications in personal training and group fitness instruction.
Growing up, I had a passion for physical activity and was involved in sports such as track & cross country, gymnastics, dance, and competitive cheerleading. This ignited my interest in the human body and its anatomy. I'm particularly drawn to the mechanics behind our movements and what drives them.
I strongly believe in the importance of continuous learning and growth. There is always something new to learn and unlearn. I encourage everyone to embrace this mindset which is just one way to practice Yoga off the mat.
